There is no page on Wikipedia for either Allan Staniforth or the Terrapin. That speaks for itself. There are at least two references to 'The 1000BHP Grand Prix cars,' but even that doesn't come up in a search in the Wiki engine.
There's the saying that 'There's a lot of info on Wikipedia, and some of it is even true.' Well, I agree you have to be careful with it, but it does make an excellent starting point.
I think one of the experts needs to go to Wikipedia.com and correct this. Someone who can make it one of their more reliable pages.

So here's a suggestion on getting started. If you search Wikipedia.com for Terrapin, you get the page for the turtle, and it will say "For other uses, see Terrapin (disambiguation)." This will give you a link to this page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrapin_(disambiguation)On this page, go to the right of "Engineering & technology" and click that edit link. Or this will bring the edit function up. en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Terrapin_(disambiguation)&action=edit§ion=2Perhaps you want to add "* An open wheel racing/hillclimb car designed by Allan Staniforth. The subject of the book 'High Speed, Low cost.'" Ultimately the disambiguation page should be able to take you to both Allan Staniforth and the Terrapin on Wikipedia. If you search for Allan Staniforth, I expect it would go to his page, while if you search for Terrapin, it would continue as it does now, with the disambiguation page offering the link to the Terrapin page. The idea is to create a page for the Terrapin about the car and a page for Allan Staniforth that tells his full story beyond just the Terrapin. (Other cars and books, etc.) You can look up Colin Chapman to get some idea how it should look. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_ChapmanThis forum, Westhouse, everything should wind up as links at the bottom. (Someday my car will be there.)

This is a sad post but just to let everyone know my good mate and next door neighbour Allan Staniforth died today after a short illness. I'm sure he'll be missed all over the racing world as he always had time to help the beginners and professionals alike. To me and others he never seemed to be 84 yrs. old he still had so much to do and live for, he'll be sorely missed.
