Just picked up on this discussion. I have some of the original Terrapin chassis plates designed by Allan together with the original design stickers he distributed through the club decades back. I can post some pictures later if there is an interest. Allan also let me have his folder of all the club bulletins for me to copy before he sadly passed away. regards rob

Hi Rob I would love to see Allan's idea of the plate. If a standard was set, I would happily remove mine for the one agreed on. I also designed a sticker which have yet to make. Happy to use Allan's design if agreement can be reached. I am definately interested in the pictures if you can put them up. Also, I have just managed to pick up a length of 3/8" sch 80 A106 pipe (carbon steel). I believe this is the last one in the area left. None of the steel stores can supply it any more. This is the heavy wall pipe used on the wishbones where the bolt goes through to the rod end. If anyone needs a bit, let me know. Cheers Geoff

Rob, Yes there is an interest, I also would love to see pictures of Allen's plate and sticker. I'm a stickler for getting my hands on everything to do with the project I'm building. I like to research and collect all literature and photos etc, and this being such an interesting story of a race car designer, constructor and driver. I would love to get a copy of all the bulletins if that was possible. Cheers, Steve

Just noticed the similarities between Allan's badge and that of another. The one with the laurel leaves is that of Gordon Keeble. A Chev powered, fibreglass bodied British car of the 60's. Apparently the Tortoise wandered into the plant during a photo shoot and ended up as the mascot. Did Allan have any connection? Attachments:

Nice work Gimmeabeer, where can I obtain one or two of these Gordon Keeble Emblems? If there is no Original Terrapin Nose Cone Emblems around, these would be better than nothing? Cheers, Steve

Cheers, Steve I've no idea where you would get a Gordon Keeble badge these days. Sorry Steve. Keep up the good work. Geoff

I picked up a set of four Gordon Keeble wheel centre badges on UK eBay.
They look good, 50mm, slightly domed/ convex in shape and they don't have Gordon Keeble written around the outer - just like the pic in above post.
Cheers, Steve

HI, I see this thread and think the Gordon Keeble looks good and could be adapted to have Terrapin Racing. I have had these proofed and am about to order some. Does anybody else what them to add to the order?

HI, I see this thread and think the Gordon Keeble looks good and could be adapted to have Terrapin Racing. I have had these proofed and I am about to order some in the next day or two. I think this badge has enough difference from the Gordon Keeble Badge. And think the yellow background off sets the green well.Any comments? Does anybody else what them to add to the order?

Sean,
I would love to add to your order, put four (4) down for me thanks. Send me an email on how much I owe you for the badges and freight to Australia, Queensland, 4074. I take it they are for external use and UV resistant etc. Regards, Steve

HI
I need a diameter and quantity.
The min. run is 5 decals, So one for the Terrapin & the other 4 can go on your car wheel centres!!.
It would be cheaper if there are other orders along with yours.
