HI All due the the car being off the Hill's/Track for some time, the last event was in 1988, things have moved on and the car now needs paperwork for events, I have printed off the 26 pages from the MSA for a "Historic Technical Passport_VALID IN: Hill-Climb" to fill in, would this be the correct paperwork to be filled in and sent in for the car, as looking through it some parts are not needed for a single seater. would I be correct that the car would have to be up and running before all the photos are to be taken and submitted
The car is slowly starting to come together, but lots of bits are still needed, + the paperwork, just trying to get things in place/sort things out before the end of the year for a meeting/shakedown and not to find out that the car needs ______ or the paperwork should have been in, as it takes _______ days to get it through the system + any rejections as it needs or should have, this or the other, or worse you cannot run that and the whole form has to be re-done + the car changed, all at the last week or so before the meeting.

Sorry cant answer the questions but it may probably be best to post this question on uphill racers as there are a heep of informed competitors and scrutineers on there Gary (accumulating bits)

HI Gary thanks for the reply, I have been looking on Uphill Racers for any info' and there seems to be, from the post's, to get the car running and get or take the car to a scrutineer for inspection, it looks like he has the paperwork?, which could be different to the paperwork on the MSA site, I have only seen the paperwork for a rally car and the paper's I have printed out, that is if it is correct, there is a lot of detail to fill in on the MSA form .

For Hillclimbs & Sprints you will need a CCLB (Competition Car Log Book). See MSA year book section J 2.1 You don't need to fill in reams of paperwork - Just call up a local MSA Scrutineer and get a photograph (side elevation) showing complete car. The Scrutineer will relieve you of some cash and he will send the forms/details to the MSA and they should issue a CCLB.
The only problems you are likely to come across may be the roll over structure - may not meet current standards but if you have proof that your car competed in period you may be able to claim 'grandfather rights'.

HI MiNiTiCi thank for the reply, I have been in contact with Richard from the Terrapin Racing site and has also put me right on the paperwork, I now have the phone No' for the local Scrutineer, so I will give him a ring when ready.
as for the roll bar, I have had bent up a later size tube to fit the car, it is just a Question of keeping the car original or cutting it out, I will contact the scrutineer and have a word with him about it, for safety sake it should be changed, not that I have had the car in a position of needing it, BUT you never know when it will be needed
