Mar 1st Had a track day at Taupo Bruce McLaren Track. Great weather & good day for testing as not many there. Had 5 sessions basically on my own. I put an A/F sensor & meter on to see what is going on. Got fairly close but still a bit Rich. Better than Lean. Had a couple of spins as starting to push to see what happens. Tyres are old so not helping, or helping to let go sooner. The mini radiator is just OK but I think after 5 or 6 laps in a race it'll be hot. So I'll need to look at that. Also put a oil temp sensor on and the oil is OK at 100 to 130 C. If the radiator is able to hold the temp then it doesn't look like I need an oil cooler. better sort out a comp licence & start turning up to a few events.

June 20 Couple of modifications to make a shroud to direct the air through the radiator. Carburation has been an issue so I got the WINSU programme which I have found really useful to narrow down options of the hundreds of needles. I had another track day, adjusted tyre pressures, tried another couple of needles. It was cold day so took a lot to warm the tyres up. Slow improvement. Now finding revved out at 7,000 on the back straight so will go up a diff ratio. Getting comp licence sorted &, log book & COD. Attachments:

Manunui Hillclimb 2021 NZ studio.youtube.com/video/2qG0QzY64JQ/editFirst event & all went okay. Fairly loose in the back end but that is due to the driver. Slow in fast out mantra. Too used to Mini's & front wheel drive.
