While it may be old news to everyone else, the February 24, 2005 Autosport contains a brief salute to the Terrapin in Marcus Pye's Club Legends.
The last sentence is the reason for my posting: "And he still supplies Terrapin plans, with a motorcycle-engined update, via the 40th Anniversary edition of his book." Am I to correctly understand that the plans themselves have the bike powered update, or that builds with them are included in the book?
Needless to say it is not covered in my fourth anniversary (1973) edition that I purchased in 1975!

Hi John,
welcome,i dont have the plans but i do have, what i believe is,the latest edition of the book. Bike engined Terrapins are not covered as such by the book but the plans might well have been modified or extended to this purpose. I'm sure that other members on this forum can help you out on this.
Cheers Cita.

Hi, I can categorically state that the plans have not been changed, a motorcycle conversion is down to the owner/builder...Ian...

Ian,
Thanks for the clarification, confirming what I thought was the case: Mr. Pye's was incorrect.

Sorry about a certain ambiguity in Autosport/Marcus Pye on a bike engined Terrapin. Correctly HSLC does not refer to bike engined version as such a thing did not exist at the time. But later on, Keith Gowers did put a Honda into his Monopin shown in Race & Rallycar Source Book. His own design, it was highly successful except for a tendency for the early Jap Finite Eliment Analasys to be cut so fine, it broke cranks and everything else once Keith used turbo power, dry ice intercooling etc. Since then, I have done and have available separate set of drawings and installation data to build a full bike installation rearward of the driver bulkhead of the original Mini version.Clontact me if interested.
