I want the book AND the plans. (Is there really much difference between the mkI and the mkV?) I'm in California, so I have to call England before Sunup, etc. And the book is not available on Amazon.com.
I've suggested in the past the book could be made available for publish on demand through Barnes and Noble's iUniverse.com When someone orders the book, iUniverse would put it together and ship it. It would always be available. That might even work for the plans.
If we call this number, will he have the book available, too?

Nothing amazing about the mostly random web readers who don't know what the book IS not knowing how to get it. The number I suggested turns out to be just the way to inquire, though I'm 8 time zones away and am told the best time for me to call is after midnight and before 6am, so I haven't tried it out yet.
And since I'm in the US, how do I PAY for this this thing? A U.S. credit card?

Last of the print run went to Steve Hole at totalkitcar www.totalkitcar.com/He does international sales on his website. I will only get another batch printed if there is sufficient demand (>100 copies) as small print runs are very expensive. Plans are only available directly from Allan himself. cheers Rob

I keep telling you all you have to do is set up the publish on demand with iUniverse.com, and they can print one at a time. Doesn't do any good to point people at totalkitcar.com when they keep saying they haven't had it for months.
You'd probably have to wait until 10,000 people have been turned away from buying the book before you know about 100. People can't buy the book when it's not available to them.

Thanks but it is no good telling me this when the printing company we deal with has all the files. It took months to get this set up in the first instance and the set up cost was spread over the first few print runs. Any suggestions on how we influence our UK printing company to hand this material over to iUniverse without incurring a cost? I get demand for around 1 book about once a month now - I cannot continue to run this at a loss.
All constructive comments from those with publishing experience welcome
regards Rob

Sorry,. but I guess my account doesn't have PM's. I ran the proboard help and I don't have the link where it says I should, so they must not work.

The number I put up there, Tel/Fax +44 (0)1423 711228, is supposed to be good for getting either set of plans, but I haven't tried it yet. Not being an engineer or a real mechanic, I figure I need the info ('String computer,' etc.) in the book, which I think I might have seen years ago, it sounds familiar. The additional info in the second edition would probably be better. Would you believe the banner at the top when I opened this post was Amazon's BookSurge? A lot of previously published books wind up as publish on demand offerings. www.booksurge.com/content/Google_General.htm?cid=701500000008dHc&ls=Search%20Marketing&sls=Google&gclid=COD2zfC84JMCFSMYagodBUJsWg

HI divebomber when you log on your PM's come up on the bottom of the main page, but seen as you have not found them !!. I have located a book for you and if you require it to be sent to the USA I can arraign that also, I could pick up some plans for you from Alan if you like and send them over also, please let me know what you would like to do.

Hi,
Mike, I am interested too, to buy the book and the plans, if you want I will buy them. I live in Malta Europe, so you can tell me how much is the cost for the book, plans and p&p.
Thanks

Yeah, I get absolutely nothing regarding PM's on any part of the page. The Proboard help showed where I should find a link, but there's nothing there. I don't know if I was supposed to enable them at time of registration, if there's a minimum number of posts I have to make to get them, or what.
Well, how much you want for the book? Is this the 2nd edition? My area code in the US is 92835, for the sake of shipping. Both sets of plans are how much?
My bank can probably even issue a money order in pounds or euros, IF I'm sure I have the correct term rather than a symbol that I'm not sure the meaning of.
