I am looking for a picture of the top front wishbone mounting bracket, I am having problems figuring it out from the plans. Any help would me most grateful.
Thanks

Hi Anthony, You know I never really paid attention to it, since I never got to that stage I just really looked a it now, and went hmmmm interesting ;D They looked to be like two L, One way to tackle it is in two pieces ( 4 separate per bracket). I would weld the two vertical part to the chassis. On the front one I would then weld the second part of the bracket to the bottom of the vertical part and to the bottom of the chassis tube per the plan, and for the rear one I would weld the part to the top of the vertical part and chassis tube. You could also just treat as a single piece, you would need to bend the piece and fit it... Since it`s a suspension pick-up point the location is critical, personally I would prefer doing it the as my first suggestion.. I don`t really have good pictures in my files... How did they other's do it on their car ?

Thanks for the advice,
Making it in pieces sounds the way to go, as there is a better chance of getting it right. (Fed up of scraping one piece brackets). I’ll make a top wishbone first to use as a guide to ensure the bracket is in the correct place.

Have you tried placing the bracket with a jig.... I did this on the Locosts... planning to do the same on the terrapin, it was a simple device made up of treaded rod and 1.5 inch flat bar... here a few pics.. p.s. you should post your build in the build section ;D Cheers

I made a jig to get the centres between the back bracket and front to exactly 18” , I made the brackets in one piece filing here and there till it was a good fit which turned out ok.
Ill start taking some pics & post them if I can figure it out.
thanks ..
