So I'm curious as to the differnce in suspension between the open wheeler and the prototype, as well as how they differ from modern suspension. Might the open wheeler do better with the later design from the prototype? Or is this a moot question, with both designs needing some updating at the time of the build?
As long as I'm bringing up the prototype, will plans be available? Perhaps through 'Total Kitcar?'

G,day to u Divebomber. I have the plans for both cars, I presume when you refer to the prototype and mention mk 5 you are refering to the 2 seater. I stand corrected but I am unaware of any difference in suspension geometry as such, but spring rates would probably differ. Perhaps some of the more senior members could add to this. Is there any particular point that concerns you, if so please let me know and I will dig out the plans and have a look, my own mk 5 is still on the back burner but I am closing in on it fast, about two thirds finished. If u are of a mind to build one feel free to contact me have wealth of experience using a non mini as the donor. Golfpin

Can't find it now, but maybe a month ago I was reading one of these threads where they were discussing that the prototype had different suspension, and somebody made it sound like an upgrade. I'm just trying to learn more about that.

From what I can see on my Mk1 & Mk 5 plans there is no difference in the suspension. The only 'change' which has taken place over time is the fitting of the Gould lower plate on the rear uprights in place of the original fabricated steering arm plate. The Gould plate changes the rear wishbones slightly.

Terrapin rear 'Gould modification' to rear suspension. Requires that you cut/mill off part of the mini/metro hub and bolt an alloy bottom plate in place of the lower ball joint. regards Rob Attachments:

A close up of the modified 'Gould' rear suspension. Requires a new rear wishbone fabricating also Attachments:
