I raced against this car last Sunday at Barkston Heath - A RAFMSA event. It beat my 200 bhp mini by 0.6 sec! It is now owned by James Patterson, it seems the Piston head sale fell through and James bought the car at a ridiculously low price. Hopefully here is a pic Waiting for my Mk 5 plans from Claire

Are you in a position to advise why Paul sold her on so soon as I was only talking to him at Loton weeks before he sold her on piston heads and showed no indication of wanting to sell then. a genuine enquiry as I was v surprised when I saw advert selling her. sorry for the female references but I'm old school, just like the cars

Hi, Sorry I havent been on for a while, I decided to sell it as I had done a few events but with the cost of travelling and entry fees and taking into consideration the time in the car I decided I would get more value going back to Stage Rallying, I sold the car in early May to the first person who came to see it who was from Stoke on Trent, I guess he sold it on to James. I see it is now for sale on pistonheads for over £6000 with a trailer, it says in the advert it was rebuilt from December to March 2011, this isnt accurate as it was actually rebuilt in 2008/9 by the former owner, it also states it is 170bhp and the engine was built by Jedi and rebuilt by Jedi in December (The car was in my garage in December so someone must have sneaked it out while I was at work!), when I bought the car I was told the engine was completely standard from a bike breakers so was approx 95-100bhp. I have been in touch with James and asked if he has receipts for the engine work and he says they were destroyed in a fire!. It is a great car and if someone on here is thinking of buying it I would say go for it but just be careful it is what is described. I sold it for around half what it is up for sale for now.
