Hello all. While I wait for my book to arrive, I've decided to start looking for a suitable donor car.
Since I'm located in the Americas, there isn't an abundance of tatty Mini's to choose from.
I would like to know if the Innocenti, etc. versions of the Mini would work just as well? Also, what is the span of production years of the actual Mini that are suitable? I've seen the later versions at reasonable cost, and the only differences seem to be cosmetic.
Cheers,
Chris

You can of course buy new parts especially for the hubs/uprights and brakes - should be available in the USA. www.minisport-usa.com/mini-spare-parts/Mini_Front_Swivel_Hubs.htmlYou could even go for the upgrade to Al.Alloy uprights to save a bit of weight.
