Hi Wayne, First time problems? - If you have trailered the car any distance it is always worth checking a few of the really important nuts & bolts. The car can take some pounding on a trailer - the Terrapin's suspension will probably be doing more work on the trailer than on the track. I particular check the locknuts on any rod end joints (I frequently disturb these with lashings to the trailer). Also check the wheel nuts - I know this sounds corny but is all too easy to forget if you are changing between sets (never get into the habit of loosly putting on your old wet wheels when you put in on the trailer or into the garage - some day it might be wet and you will go onto the track with 'temporarily' fitted wheels. With a new car you may need to re-torque a few nuts and bolts if any painted surfaces were not cleaned off before assembly. Body panels always have a habit of falling off (usually because the 'mechanic' forgot to do up the fixings after showing the Scruitineer all the extra throttle return springs!). I always put tape over 1/4 turn Zeus type panel fasteners just in case they decide to pop out. Oh yes - don't forget to turn on the fuel pumps! (guess what I forgot on my first run....). Above all have fun. ;D Doug.

Setting up the suspension took me some time but the general rule i found was to make the front as hard as possible and the rear as soft as you can. Mine could be called almost "floaty" but it sticks well and does not hop about. If the rear is too hard then it will pass the front every time.
My initial track setup time was on a local kart track and i found that it would spin on the sweeper in second gear Very easily. After consulting with some locals it now goes around the same corner wide open in third, pushing the front on throttle but not spinning at drop throttle. The addition of a rear wing also helped at Levels In Timaru NZ. Hope this helps stu
