Well as I dont want to have to fork out £300+ for an official race pedal box. Does anyone have any plans for building the pedal system (I have seen Robs and love it)
Better clarify, plans that you used to construct rather than a plan to construct the prdals in the future. Hope that make sense. Mark

Hi Mark, Pedals can be easily manufactured from tube. The brake pedal is the most complicated due to the balance bar but still not difficult. A weld in brake balance bar can be bought for about £35, it is then just a case of screwing in the brake rods from the two master cylinders. The pedal position can be adjusted via the two brake rods and/or the threaded foot pad. The pedal can be pivotted on a common rod for all three pedals or separately. If a common rod is used some reaction brackets will be required on either side of the brake pedal to stop the rod bending. It is probably best to fit the type of master cylinders with the remote resevoirs as these can be placed higher up in the chassis which avoids the brake caliper pistons retracting too far due to atmospheric pressure overcoming the weight of fluid. (special low pressure non-return valves can be used but are a needless expense). A third way of avoiding excessive piston retraction is to fit resevoir extensions to the integral type master cylinders. Doug.
